'World War Z 2' Release Date Suffers Major Setback? Brad Pitt All Eyes On Teamup Movie With Wife Angelina Jolie

"World War 2" sequel release date is rumored to be delayed as Brad Pitt is said to be scheduled on filming his new movie with fiancée Angelina Jolie first?

Joseph Muscat, Prime Minister of Malta, reveals that the film will be shot in the island of Gozo, part of Malta.

"I'm happy that Hollywood producers have once again chosen Malta for their project, and we will be delighted to host Mr Pitt, Ms Jolie, and their family for the second time in just a few years," said Muscat. "I'm sure that this film will help put our beautiful sister island of Gozo on the world map," the Maltese Prime Minister told Us Weekly.

The entertainment publication claims that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will be staying in Malta for eight weeks starting the end of August, where they will start production in Mgarr ix-Xini Bay in Gozo.

Newly hired director Juan Antonio Bayona is also scheduled to helm Patrick Ness' novel movie adaptation "A Monster Calls" prior to shooting "World War Z 2".

In an interview, Bayona described the film as "the perfect final chapter in a trilogy centered on the extraordinary strength of the mother-child bond."

TheWrap calls the novel as a "visually spectacular drama about a young boy who attempts to deal with his mother's illness and the bullying of his classmates by escaping into a fantastical world of monsters and fairy tales that deal with courage, loss and faith."

Nonetheless, the film is still moving forward! With Paramount and Brad Pitt finding a new director for the second installment of the film, production team is ready for the casting call.

The Spanish filmmaker, Juan Antonio Bayona, who directed the disaster movie featuring the 2004 Asian tsunami starring Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor, "The Impossible," has been tapped to helm the sequel to Brad Pitt's surprisingly hit movie "World War Z 2."

Meanwhile, "Dirty Pretty Things" and "Locke" scribe Steven Knight has been tapped to pen the script for Brad Pitt's zombie-themed sequel film.

Brad Pitt and his company Plan B together with Paramount Pictures has struggled to bring "World War Z" to the big screen, as the Hollywood actor didn't see eye to eye with the previous director Marc Forster.

The zombie themed movie that was based on Max Brooks novel surprisingly became a summer box office hit, grossing $540 million worldwide, despite the numerous reshoots and complications it went through during the production.

With Juan Antonio Bayona replacing Marc Forster to take on the directing duties for the new "World War Z sequel" movie, it is safe to assume that actor/producer Brad Pitt and his former director really had some disagreement along the way. This could very well confirm the news about the feud between the two.

According to his previous interview with ShockTillYouDrop.com, Forster already hinted that he will not be coming back to direct the upcoming World War Z sequel movie, saying,

"I like to explore different worlds," he explained. "If I haven't done a genre, I like to challenge myself."
