`Winds of Winter’ Release Date Uncertain As George R. R. Martin Is Working Without Deadline, But That Won’t Stop New and Old Game of Thrones Material From Surfacing

The "Winds of Winter" release date remains uncertain as George R.R Martin is reportedly under no deadline and has been feeling the stress of the Game of Thrones timetable, according to rumors.

Publishing experts reportedly claim "The Winds of Winter" was supposed to be released this year but George RR Martin might be keeping Game of Thrones fans waiting years for his next book.

The latest "Game of Thrones" book came out this week, no it wasn't a leaked draft of  "The Winds of Winter," the new Game of Thrones book was The World of Ice & Fire, by Elio Garcia and Linda Antonsson, who got approval and a little help from their friend George R.R. Martin.

Book Keep library reported that the Winds of Winter release date was delayed to 2016 after rumors surfaced that George R.R Martin has to rest to keep his health due to the stress of writing The Winds of Winter.

The Game of Thrones writer recently admitted that he is interested in short story version of some of his unpublished work.

Speaking to British newspaper, The Guardian, while at the Edinburgh International Book Festival, Martin said "There are discarded chapters and paragraphs and everything in-between. Because I follow the characters and they sometimes lead me down dead ends. So, at the end of the sequence, I will probably have tens of thousands of words or even hundreds of thousands of words of unused material."

"There's at least one deleted chapter from book five - which left me in the wrong place - which I have been tempted to publish as a sort of short story," he detailed.

Martin told reporters that this book has not been easy. He still has about 1500 pages to finish to bridge "Winds of Winter" between "A Dance with Dragons" and "A Dream of Spring".

Vulture reported that George R.R. Martin won't have much to do on the Game of Thrones season 5 because he is finishing The Winds of Winter, the sixth book in the "A Song of Ice and Fire" saga.

Headlines & Global News said The Winds of Winter should get an official launch by April next year.
