Cleveland Cavaliers Roster: Will This Season Be Another MVP Year For LeBron?

After a slow and disappointing start in their season opener in their home court, the Cleveland Cavaliers roster bounced back to win their second game, against nothing less than the Chicago Bulls.

Considered to be the potential rivals for the Eastern Conference title, the Bulls and Cavs went all out in their first meeting of the season in the Bulls homecourt. Cleveland edges Chicago in OT, 114-108 behind LeBron James' 8-point performance during the exta 5 minutes of play.

Meanwhile, Derrick Rose led the Bulls with his 20 points, though he was escorted to the locker room during the fourth quarter because of a sprained ankle.

Pau Gasol and Joakim Noah also played well for Chicago, combining for 23 points and 22 rebounds, while 5 more Bulls players scored in double figures.

James led the Cavs with his 36 points, which saw Cleveland lead by double digits for most of the game. In a late game run by Chicago which snatched the lead, it was James who carried Cleveland to its first victory of the season.

The other two members of the Cavs' 'Big Three' played well as Kevin Love and scored 16 points and grabbed 16 boards, while Kyrie Irving added 23 more points. Unfortunately, it wasn't a good shooting night for both stars as they only shot 5-17 and 6-17 respectively.

As with the previous game, Cleveland lacked bench support, with Tristan Thompson the only one reaching double figures aside from the four players in the starting lineup.

Anderson Varejao, who recently signed a multi-year contract with the Cavs added 10 points, 6 boards and 2 assists.

The Cavs will face Portland next while Chicago will face off against their neighbors the Wolves.
