While he already plays a father on-screen, Josh Dallas is also a real-life father to 'Once Upon a Time' Season 4 cast Ginnifer Goodwin's baby. In a recent interview with DA MAN, Dallas gushed about his son, Oliver Finlay.

For Dallas, he is able to live vicariously through their son: "It makes you open your eyes to the world again. Your child is seeing and experiencing things for the first time, so you can relive things through their eyes."

Apart from being blessed with 'Once Upon a Time' Season 4 cast Ginnifer Goodwin's baby, Dallas also thinks that having his wife as his leading lady on-screen makes up for a "better performance."

"It's great because we have real trust in one another. There's absolutely no fear between us when shooting a scene, which makes for a better performance in my unbiased opinion," he said.

Currently in its fourth season, "Once Upon a Time" continues to draw in audiences from several parts of the globe. The fourth season is made more exciting with the addition of new characters particularly Queen of Arendelle, Elsa, from Disney's hit flick "Frozen."

When asked by the publication about the reason behind the show's success, the 32-year-old responded:

"It seems both guys and girls are enjoying the fairytale elements in the plot. I don't think anyone knows why some things make a mark and why others don't but it seems to strike a chord inside people. It deals with things that a lot of people go through."

In a previous interview with Hitflix, Dallas likewise said that despite the wishes of fans, baby Oliver wouldn't appear on the ABC fantasy series because it's important to "separate real life from TV." Nonetheless, he said that while in Goodwin's womb, Oliver already heard things about "blood magic and ripping hearts out and fairies and people called Tinker Bell."
