Big Bang Member Daesung's New EP 'D-LITE' Tops Japan's Oricon Weekly Chart

Big Bang member Daesung has topped the Japan Oricon Weekly Album chart with his new Japan mini album, D-LITE.

His new mini album was released on October 29 and topped the Oricon daily album chart on the day of its release with 68,000 copies sold.

On November 10, it was revealed to have topped the Oricon Weekly album chart as well.

Previously, he had topped the Oricon daily album chart back in July with his first Japan original album D'slove, and he has continued his winning streak this time with his new mini album, D-LITE.

This is his first time topping the Oricon Weekly Album chart, as his previous album ranked at number 2 on this specific chart.

His new mini album also topped the Japan iTunes Popular Song Top Album and the USEN J-Pop Request chart as well and showcased his popularity.

His title song, "Look At Me, GwiSoon," was originally produced by fellow member G-Dragon and received much attention when it first released in Korea.

For his Japanese version, Kenichi Maeyamada has produced the song.

Through his solo albums, Daesung has been able to create his own image as a solo singer and was able to hold a solo tour in Japan in order to meet and thank his fans.

His 'D-LITE DLive 2014 In Japan~D'slove' was held in 8 cities with a total of 15 concerts.

Due to many requests, he has recently confirmed his encore concert dates for his tour as well. His encore concerts will take place on January 31 and February 1 of 2015 in Tokyo and Osaka.

On the other hand, Daesung will join Big Bang for their Japan 5 dome tour starting on November 15-16.
