Fifth Member Of iKON Revealed To Be Song Yun Hyeong

Following Koo Jun Hoe being added to iKON's line up, YG Entertainment has announced the fifth member of its upcoming idol group.

Song Yun Hyeong is the latest participant on the survival show MIX & MATCH to be picked for iKON, YG Entertainment's male group that will debut at the start of 2015. The trainee was a member of Team X on the show, and is the fifth member confirmed. iKON will contain a total of seven members. The future of the remaining participants from MIX & MATCH is unknown.

Six participants on the show were part of Team B on Who Is Next: WIN, which resulted in Team A's success and debut as WINNER. The six Team B members competed once again on MIX & MATCH, against a new set of trainees.

Yun Hyeong was a member of Team B.

Bobby, B.I., and Jinhwan were all confirmed as three members of Team B from Who Is Next: WIN to automatically make it into iKON. Jun Hoe, also from Team B, was the fourth member revealed to join the team, after voting was opened to fans from all over the world.

Just like the announcement about Jun Hoe, made on November 3, the November 4 announcement also saw problems with YG-life.com, where the announcement about Song Yun Hyeong was made.

Yang Hyun Suk, the CEO of YG Entertainment, recently addressed concerns about WINNER and iKON debuting around the same time.

"I have to admit that I have concentrated on Winner's activities the most, recently. The team's initial work showed really awesome results and I will support them to harden its foundation... I don't know whom the final members [of iKON] are going to be but I will do my best to support the team. I want to see Korea's best music content dominate the pop music of the world, someday," the CEO said.

The final episode of MIX & MATCH will air on November 6.
