Akdong Musician's Lee Suhyun Joins Lee Hi In New YG Entertainment Unit Group Hi Suhyun

The mystery is officially resolved!

YG Entertainment finally revealed the last member of the company's upcoming new unit group to be Akdong Musician singer Lee Soo Hyun.

Apparently changing the romanized spelling of her name to Suhyun, YG posted a teaser image to their company blog, YG Life, on November 5 that uncovered the teenager as the other singer in the new duo Hi Suhyun. The 15-year-old joins 18-year-old Lee Hi for a new single set for release on November 11. Rookie rapper Bobby, of YG Entertainment's upcoming boy band iKON will also join the girls as a featured artist in the new song.

For a little over a week the Korean record label was keeping fans scratching their heads about the new collaboration. The latest images reveal that Hi Suhyun might not be the only unit project in the works for the company's artists. At the bottom of the image depicting Lee Suhyun, Bobby, and Lee Hi is the distinction, "YG Collaboration Project 001."

A similar distinction was made earlier this year after the release of Taeyang's popular single "Eyes, Nose, Lips." Akdong Musician (made up of Suhyun and her older brother Chan Hyuk), Epik High's Tablo, and YG's composer-choreographer Lydia Paek all released cover versions of the hit song under the title "Cover Project by YG Family." Each of the videos included the same numerical distinction.

Boasting a diverse lineup of some of the most popular artists in K-Pop today, the tight-knit record label would not be outside its realm to experiment with other collaborative mash-ups.

In the meantime, fans can look forward to a new song by Lee Hi, Suhyun, and Bobby out on November 11.
