"Scandal" actress Kerry Washington has opened up and revealed one of her new post baby bump weight loss secrets, and how she got back to looking fantastic as Olivia Pope on the ABC series.

According to ABC News, Kerry Washington spoke to BET's "106 & Park" and revealed her weight loss secrets to slimming down post baby bump. The 37-year-old "Scandal" actress and her husband Nnamdi Asomugha welcomed daughter Isabelle in April.

"I've always been a person who really approaches health in a proactive way. I work out, I eat right, so those were things I continued to do once the doctor said I could," she said. "But not to be crazy about it. I'm breastfeeding, so I can't starve myself."

She continued, "It's important for me to be a good mom and a good actor. And be responsible to myself and my family."

Kerry Washington also talked about the "pressure to be perfect" and why she keeps her personal life separate from her life as Olivia Pope.

As we previously reported, Kerry Washington spilled details about her post-baby weight loss secret at the 2014 Emmys Red Carpet: "A lot of working out," she told E! News. "That's it!"

Kerry also recently made headlines with her fresh-faced photo on the cover of Allure magazine's November issue. Publications like E! News and The Gloss are claiming that the actress and new mama went for a no makeup look on the cover of Allure magazine - but in the video above, Kerry herself claims that there is "less makeup" but she's still wearing a bit here and there!

According to E! News, Kerry dished on her biggest beauty tip for the Allure spread: find a great dermatologist.

"I try not to be too high maintenance when it comes to beauty routines," she said. "But I've had eczema my whole life, so I've always gone to a dermatologist."

Washington also revealed who her beauty icon is: "My mother is a huge beauty inspiration for me, partly because she's always emphasized the idea of inner beauty being equally, if not more, important than outer beauty."
