Jang Woo Hyuk Hints At An H.O.T Reunion

For many recent fans of K-Pop, first-generation male idol group made their way into regular playlist rotation during the broadcast of tvN's popular teenage drama Reply 1997.

But for fans who remember the group from their chart-topping hits and dominance of teen magazine covers back in the '90s, there might be some good news ahead.

One of the group's members, Jang Woo Hyuk, recently revealed that he and the other members have been talking about making a reunion a reality.

Jang made the revelation, during a press conference in Beijing, China on November 4. He was there promoting his new film project, Fiji 99°C Love, his first full-scale acting gig in China.

According to a report by media outlet TV Report, the Korean star was bombarded with questions about potential plans for an H.O.T reunion. Another report from Chinese outlet The Beijing News suggests that those sorts of questions have been a recurring theme during the press circuit for the film.

"No matter where I go, I always get questions about us reuniting," the pop star-turned-actor relpied. "Many people are really longing for our comeback, but we have been seeking an opportunity to do so ourselves for the longest time."

While Jang continues promotions for Fiji 99°C Love, many fans of H.O.T have started to get more aggressive about their encouragement of a reunion. Korean media reports suggest that numerous fans cafes and support groups have sprung up online to support a comeback or reunion concert for H.O.T.
