Former Spice Girl Mel B. Reveals She Went Through A Lesbian Phase, Insists She’s Straight

Mel B recently opened up about her love life in an interview on "Alan's Carr: Chatty Man" and revealed some unexpected information.

The former Spice Girl, who now hosts "X Factor U.K." and "America's Got Talent," told the host of the talk show that she once had romantic relationships with women. However, she also explained that she does not consider herself a lesbian.

While on the show, the 39-year-old was asked about straight women who have same-sex relationships.

"Yeah. I was one of those for a few years," said Mel B. (via the Daily Mail), who is happily married to Stephen Belafonte and has three children.

Carr proceeded to ask if the singer would consider herself a lesbian.

"I would not call it that. I was just one of those ladies. Now I'm happily married."

Last year, Mel B. appeared on Howard Stern's radio show and discussed her close relationship with her Spice Girls bandmates. The singer told Stern, who sits on the judging panel of "America's Got Talent" with her, that she had kissed all of her bandmates in the past.

"They're my homies! I had gotten my tongue pierced and I wanted to try it out. So I kissed them all!" she explained.

Later in the conversation, Stern questioned Mel B. about becoming a role model for the gay and lesbian community, which prompted the British star to pull off her microphone and storm out of the interview.

While on "Alan's Carr: Chatty Man," Mel B. dished about her role on "X Factor: UK" and revealed that she has a bit of a naughty side.

"I do drawings of stuff that get me into trouble a lot," she confessed. "I show it off to Cheryl [Fernandez-Versini] and she laughs and I show it to Louis [Walsh] and he goes, 'Wow, yeah.'"

"I will have to ban myself from having paper now as you now all bloody know," she added.
