‘Attack On Titan’ Marvel Crossover [UPDATE]: Spider-Man And The Avengers To Take On 46-Foot-Tall Titan In Brutus Magazine, Release Date Set For November 15

Earlier this week Marvel writer/editor C.B. Cebulski announced via his Twitter that Japanese fans could soon anticipate an "Attack on Titan" Marvel crossover. New details about that crossover have surfaced including that the Marvel characters will be Spider-Man and the Avengers, and that it will be released in the next issue of Brutus next weekend.

"If you ever wondered, "What if the titans from Hajime Isayama's "Attack on Titan" attacked the Marvel universe?", you'll find out soon!!" said Cebulski on Monday.

That final tweet from the Marvel editor was the official announcement that Hajime Isayama's popular manga "titans" would be coming to the Marvel Universe for a crossover. Little detail aside from an awesome teaser image was released, but now fans can be assured of not only what Marvel characters to expect, but also when and where to find the crossover.

IGN reports "The crossover manga story will take place in the next issue of the Japanese pop-culture magazine Brutus, due out in Japan on November 15th." They go on to add details about the storyline, which will feature Spider-Man and the Avengers taking on a 46-foot-tall titan in the streets of New York.

It's not clear yet what Hajime Isayama's role will be as he's probably pretty busy with the latest volume of "Attack on Titan" but it is known that he will draw the cover of Brutus #790, which is the magazine that the crossover will appear in. He is also set to offer commentary on the story in the issue.

Given the global scale of fans of both Marvel and "Attack on Titan," it seems this crossover will likely pick up distribution in other languages over time. Until then, perhaps North American fans can hope for some fan subtitles and scans when the crossover is released on November 15.
