The rumor mill about LG G4 release date and specs begins to churn out.

According to the latest LG G4 specs rumors, the next-gen LG Electronics flagship smarthphone will have a 20MP primary camera. Particularly, compared to LG G3's 13MP cam, the LG G4 is expected to get a huge upgrade with a 20.7 megapixel lens together with an update to the optical image stabilization technology.

Moreover, the report on Latinos Post revealed that one of the main LG G4 features is its 'super thin bezel. Accordingly, the LG G3 successor might have a bezel that is less than a millimeter thin. If LG G4 specs features turns out to be true, the new smartphone will sport a bezel on each side that measures 0.7mm. The LG G4, as described on Tech Radar, is a "phone with absolutely no bezel at all."

The technology that will to be used to achieve the thinner bezel is called Neo Edge, which utilizes an "adhesive tape instead of double-sided tape in attaching and sealing the circuit board and the backlight unit of the panel."

Sharing about the increasing trend of smartphones with narrower bezels, the Vice President and Head of IT/Mobile Development Group at LG Display, Byeong-koo Kim, stated:

"With the growing trend for large screen smartphones, customer demand for displays with a narrow bezel is increasing, because it enables users to enjoy the maximum use of screen area without compromising excellent grip and design."

Other rumored LG G4 specs include a water-resistant and dustproof body. As for the screen, the rumored smartphone is more likely to be strengthened with the use of Sapphire material, which according to Christian Post, will "give the smartphone a big advantage over its rivals like Apple's iPhone that are currently under fire due to brittle screens."

The LG G4 might also get LG Electronics' own processor called the Nuclub, which is reportedly an octa-core chipset with Cat. 6 LTE-A, allowing 4G speeds as high as 300mbps.

As for the LG G4 release date, it is possible for the new smartphone to arrive May 2015, especially if LG will follow the launch history of its predecessor.

However, tech fans should take these details with a grain of sale until LG makes an official announcement regarding LG G4 specs and release date.
