Robin Wright And Ben Foster Call Off Engagement! Was 14-Year Age Difference A Factor?

Robin Wright and Ben Foster have called it quits.

The couple reportedly called off their engagement ten months after announcing their plans to wed.

According to Us Weekly, the "Princess Bride" actress and her "X-Men" beau ended their relationship due to their "crazy schedules" and 14-year age difference.

"The gap just ended up being too much," a source allegedly told Us Weekly. "Ben was kind of immature. She couldn't deal with him anymore."

Wright, 48, and Foster, 34, have yet to comment on the reported break up.

The pair first met on the set of the film "Rampart," which was released in 2011. They announced their engagement earlier this year in January.

Wright and Foster walked the red carpet together at the 2014 Golden Globes, where the "House of Cards" actress won Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series for the Netflix drama.

At the event, Wright commented on her engagement. "I'm very blessed," the star told E! News, also calling her affectionate fiancé "the hottest."

The formerly engaged pair even got matching tattoos to symbolize their commitment to each other. Wright revealed in a February interview with British newspaper The Telegraph that she got a "B" tattooed on the third finger of her left hand, while Foster got an "R" on his.

The marriage would have been the first for Foster, who previously dated "Divergent" actress Zoë Kravitz and was once linked to "X-Men" co-star Ellen Page.

As for Wright, she was formerly married to actor Dane Witherspoon, a union that lasted several months.

She also married actor Sean Penn in 1996. The pair met on the set of the film "State of Grace" in 1990 and they share two children: daughter Dylan Penn, 23, and Hopper Penn, 21. Wright and Penn split in 2007, although they reconciled a year later. However, the couple eventually divorced in 2010.

Penn is now rumored to be engaged to actress Charlize Theron.
