Super Junior member Kyuhyun charted tops in Korea with the debut of his first solo mini album.

On November 13,Choi  Kyuhyun debuted as a solo artist with the mini album "At Gwanghwamun," and the title song of the same name took the top spot on multiple Korean music charts, including Melon, Mnet, Genie, Naver Music, and others. Kyuhyun's success came prior to releasing a music video or appearing on any Korean music shows.

The music video for "At Gwanhwamun" will be released on November 13, and will feature an autumn-themed love story.

Irene of SM Entertainment's latest rookie girl group Red Velvet will appear in the music video for "At Gwanghwamun."

Kyuhyun is known for being the youngest member in SM Entertainment's megagroup, Super Junior. He is one of the members of Super Junior's vocal lineup, and one of the members of Super Junior K.R.Y, Super Junior's ballad subgroup. He is also a member of Super Junior-M, Super Junior's Mandarin speaking subgroup.

He is the fourth SM Entertainment artist to release a solo album in the past two years, following SHINee's Taemin, and both Zhoumi and Henry of Super Junior-M.

To celebrate the release of going solo, Kyuhyun held  a music on November 13, where he sung the songs from "At Gwanghwamun" live for the first time.

There, Kyuhyun explained that he debuted as the first member of Super Junior to go solo because SM Entertainment's founder, Lee Soo Man, suggested it. He also said that his image from variety show appearances garnered him enough popularity to promote solo successfully.

 "At Gwanghwamun" replaced YG Entertainment unit group Hi Suhyun and MC Mong from the number one spot on seven Korean music charts.  

Kyuhyun also appeared on several Korean variety shows to talk about debuting as a solo singer formally versus being an idol group member who has sung on his own before.

Kyuhyun will make his "At Gwanghwamun" debut on KBS2's Music Bank, MBC's Music Core, and SBS's Inkigayo starting on November 14.
