K-Pop Wardrobe Inspection: Memorable Makeup

K-Pop has experienced a wide variety of outfit concepts throughout its history. At the same time various idols have also went some crazy, weird, and yet unique makeup choices as well. Check out some of them below!

It's been well over two years since EXO's debut back in 2012 with intense title track "MAMA". A key point in the song that everyone seems to know is the scream done by Kai in the Korean version and by Xiumin and former EXO-M member, Kris. The unique point of the scream part is the intricate ink patterned makeup on their faces. Fans can also catch the other members in the inked face paint for various parts of the dance cuts.

VIXX is known for doing a great job in executing the creepy style perfectly from head to toe; make-up included. In the music video for "hyde", the six boys are seen with thick black eye makeup designed in various different patterns and lines. Because the music is already themed with a dark tone, the matching makeup only helped emphasis the dark concept.

When the teasers were released for f(x)'s most recent track, "Red Light", their make-up instantly became a hot topic. What made their makeup stand out from the rest was the fact that it was only applied to half of their face while the other side was left bare.

The boys of DGNA went completely wild in their MV for "Rilla Go". Each member featured make-up inspired by different animals. The makeup was very well done and it was as if the boys came straight from the jungle themselves!

Block B's circus themed music video, "Jackpot", also makes the list thanks to Zico and P.O's Pretty-in-Pink eye shadow. The two went for the rose look with pink shadow paired with rosy lips.

The Queen of K-pop never fails to bring awe to her fans with her incredible dance moves, especially in the music video for "Hurricane Venus". BoA's dance moves and body waves weren't the only things that caught the viewer's attention, for BoA also sported some elegant yet intensified makeup. Two different makeup styles were featured including a light theme and a dark one as well. The white patterned makeup displayed hints of slight cheetah patterns while the dark was almost feather like.

BoA wasn't the only lady that featured some dark an intense makeup for a music video. It is easily agreed upon that Brown Eyed Girls member, Narsha, donned some very deep yet slightly soft make up for the "Biribaba" music video. The makeup given to the characters of the video helped achieve a dead or even immortal look.

On the contrast to "Biribaba", the fine lined makeup for the "Mamma Mia" music video made Narsha as well as Sunny Hill who was featured on the track, look more lively and exciting.

As a bonus, here's a break from all the thick eyeliner and lipstick with the complete opposite courtesy of Gaeko featuring Zion.T and HA:TFELT with "No Makeup"!
