Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 & Nokia X2 Compared In Terms Of Key Specs; Which Budget Friendly Handset Is Worth Your Dollars?

Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 and the Nokia X2 are both Android handsets bearing a competitive price. Both Android-based units sport sturdy features and notable designs and they are compared in this review, with our notes coming from two reputable tech sites.

The folks from Phones Review U.K. and Phone Bunch did a comparison and we share their thoughts on these two handsets below.

PROCESSORS. In terms of under the hood features, the Nokia X2 sports a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 dual-core processor and Adreno 320 GPU, while the Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 has a 1.2GHz BCM dual-core processor. In essence, both have chipsets that clock in at the same GHz.

SCREEN. The Nokia X2, which is one of the few Android devices by Microsoft Mobile, has a 4.3-inch IPS display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. Samsung’s S Duos 2 has a 4-inch TFT display with the same resolution. The difference between the two starts with their ppi, the Nokia X2 has 217 ppi, while the S Duos 2 has 233.

CAMERAS. Both the Nokia X2 and the Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 hold an equal footing in this department. The devices have a 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and 720P video capture, plus a VGA front-facing snapper.

BATTERY LIFE. The Nokia X2 is packed with a 1800 mAh battery, while the Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 has a 1500 maAh battery. Both batteries from these handsets are removable.

OPERATING SYSTEM. The Nokia X2 is powered with a customized skin running on top of an Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS, while the S Duos 2 has an earlier version of the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

RAM & STORAGE. The Nokia X2 has 4GB of internal storage and 1GB of RAM while the Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 also has 4GB of internal storage, but running on 768 MB RAM. Both units have Micro SD card slots, which enables it to expand to 32 GB.

PRICE. A quick search on Google show that the an unlocked unit of the Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 can be had for less than $150, while the Nokia X2 can be purchased for less than $162.
