"Gotham" season 1, episode 9 spoilers show that Detective Gordon will find an ally in Harvey Dent as Bruce Wayne gets advice from Selina Kyle.

Harvey Dent arrives in Gotham and looks to introduce changes to the city ruled by the mob and corrupt officials.

"I wanna make the city a better place," he tells Detective Gordon.

Fans of the series know that Harvey Dent will eventually become Two-Faced, one of Batman's most famous enemies. But he didn't start out as a villain and in fact, he's one of the most idealistic politicians who's really sincere about making a change in Gotham.

In "The Dark Knight" movie from Christopher Nolan, Harvey Dent was depicted as the knight in shining armor who will change the landscape of the city. Bruce Wayne even trusted him enough to consider retiring the cape. It will be interesting how "Gotham" writers will tackle the Harvey Dent storyline.

Meanwhile, Penguin continues to make his moves on Fish Mooney as he startles her assistant. But will his persuading powers be enough to make the assistant turn against her employer?

"Gotham" season 1, episode 9 spoilers are revealed through the synopsis from Hollywood Hills which says: "Trying to close the Wayne murder case, a young Harvey Dent and Gordon will team up, much to Mayor James' (guest star Richard Kind) chagrin. In the meantime, Penguin will make contact with Mooney's secret weapon, Liza."

The promo clip revealed "Gotham" season 1, episode 9 spoilers as it shows the young Bruce Wayne starting to test his limits. One scene suggests that he's testing just how much he can stay underwater. Another scene shows the future Batman hitting the mitts with the butler.

On the background, there's Selena Kyle alias Catwoman watching his every move.

At one point, she tells him, "You gotta be mean, you gotta be ruthless."

"Gotham" season 1, episode 9 will air on Monday night, November 17 at 7 pm on FOX.
