Lovelyz Seo Jisoo's Debut Postponed Following Scandal

Woollim Entertainment's new girl group Lovelyz was entrenched in scandal when member Seo Jisoo was accused of several allegations including blackmailing ex-lovers, saying inappropriate comments about popular idols, and sexual misconduct.

Woollim Entertainment has denied all claims, including ones that Seo Jisoo dated several women, and issued multiple statements revealing that Woollim went to the police with the issue.

The company also said that due to stress resulting from the accusations, Seo Jisoo would not appear with the seven other Lovelyz members at their debut showcase.

2014 MeLon Music Awards Hands Out Numerous Awards

As the end of the year rolls in, music awards shows have begun acknowledging the music industry's influential players for theircontributions in 2014.  Last week's MelOn Music Awards were a big success with a diverse bunch of stars taking home the top prizes.

Big Bang's Taeyang won Best Song Of The Year with "Eyes, Nose, Lips," while g.o.d won Best Album Of the Year for "Chapter 8." IU won the Best Artist Of The Year Award.

Other artists who won awards were SISTAR, BEAST, Girl's Day, AKMU, WINNER, EXO, 2NE1, San E and Raina, Fly To The Sky, M.C The Max, Block B, A Pink, Lyn, Standing EGG, Soyou and JungGiGo, Kim Do Hoon, and Melody Day.

Ladies' Code, a girl group that lost two members in a tragic car accident in September, was commemorated by the MBC Music Star Award.

Seven Seasons Apologizes For Use of The Derogatory Slur "Faggot"

Block B's Zico released a solo single titled "Tough Cookie," and the use of the phrase "faggot bitch" in the lyrics upset many listeners who cited the the word "faggot" as a derogatory slur.

Seven Seasons, Block B's agency, issued an apology statement, explaining that Zico had not been aware of the meaning of the English word. Seven Seasons also explained that the word is commonly used in Korean hip-hop songs, but that they believed Zico's position as an idol group member resulted in the backlash.
