The production company behind "Five Fingers" declared that the plagiarism charges are outrageous.

On Monday, a blogger posted an entry about how the drama "Five Fingers" is similar to the novel "Blood Rhapsody." The chief producer of "Five Fingers" said that the rumors are completely false and if this keeps being mentioned, they will take action to prove that the plagiarism charges are false.

He said, "The drama has a pianist and an arson scene but that doesn't necessarily make it plagiarism. If it was, a lot of other stories should be labeled as well. When I heared that it was on a blog, I didn't pay much attention to it but it seems that it's becoming exaggerated out of proportion."

He continued to say, "If it was plagiarism, someone at SBS must have the novel but no one has either heard of it or has it. Second of all, we asked the writer Kim Soon Ok and he swore on his career that he has never seen it and that these claims are ridiculous."

Then he said, "Because 'Chungdam Alice' was said to be plagiarised, we read about the novel 'Chungdam Odoori' and found that it was a false claim. I think this is one of those cases. I really hope that such allegations can stop, in respect to all the hardworking cast and crew who work to get this made. If this continues to be an issue, we will take legal action."
