'Gangnam Style' Psy Appeared in Britain Newspaper Headline!

In Britain's daily newspaper, METRO, "Gangnam Style" Psy was featured with the headline, 'Check him out now, funk Seoul brother'.

There have been many articles written about Psy due to his music video making 100 million views on Youtube. However, this article also talked about K-Pop in general and the effect it has on the world.

Most articles generally talked negatively about K-Pop saying that they were all trained robot groups that just spit out the same type of music and similar looking faces. However, this article took a different approach to K-Pop.

In a place such as Britain, where K-Pop is a bit foreign, the article talked about how Psy's "Gangnam Style" sparked the beginning of K-Pop for Britain and continued to introduce other artists such as 2NE1 and Girls' Generation.

They also revealed specific numbers of K-Pop sales and views on Youtube, showing K-Pop's overwhelming popularity.

They mentioned that Psy is the most successful case out of any K-Pop artist. They also talked about the meaning behind his song, "Gangnam Style" as well as the dance.

Pop editor of 'Drowned in Sound' commented, "I was shocked when I saw Psy's music video. He probably could not have gotten this far without the help of Youtube and his music video views. His humor is what got the foreigners hooked."

They also talked about how Psy's first step into the overseas market will help other K-Pop artists venture out abroad as well.
