Samsung Galaxy Note 4 owners can now install Android 4.4.4 KitKat update on the phablet.

The 2014 smartphone which was released last September originally runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat update. But according to the latest reports, owners in Greece and Germany are currently receiving a new software update for the device.

The new and official firmware is based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat and according to GSM Arena, it comes with build number N910FXXU1ANK4. Those who wish to install Android 4.4.4 KitKat update needs to have a free memory space of at least 137 MB on their phone to upgrade the OS.

The official changelog has not been released yet but the latest Android 4.4.4 KitKat update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is expected to improve the device's overall performance and stability.

The Android 4.4.4 KitKat update is currently rolling out via Over-the-Air or OTA. Users interested for the update should keep an eye out for an automatic notification that will appear in the phone once the firmware is available.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 users simply need to confirm the download to get the installation files and when it's finished, just tap the "Install Now" button for the update process to begin. Users should have stable Wi-fi connection when downloading the files to avoid unwanted data charges.

Since it is an OTA update, it may take more days for the Android 4.4.4 KitKat to be available to other regions.

Users can also check the availability of the update manually by going to Settings, clicking on More and then About Phone, tap Software Updates and lastly, select Check for Updates.

The Android 4.4.4 KitKat update can also be installed on Samsung Galaxy Note 4 via the KIES desktop tool, according to Android Geeks.
