tvN's new drama "The 3rd Hospital" showed Oh Ji Ho and Sooyoung having a memorable first meeting.

Girls Generation's Soo Young, who drew a lot of attention to the drama for the fact that it is her first lead role, made make her first appearance in the 3rd episode on Thursday. She portrayed a violist Lee Eui Jin who is secretly in love with Kim Seung Hyun (Oh Ji Ho) who is her childhood friend.

As Eui Jin returns from studying abroad, she meets with Kim Seung Hyun once more. She had been hiding under his desk in order to surprise him but because she had been waiting for so long, her legs lose all strength. Seung Hyun, who discovers her this way, is the quintessential eastern medicine doctor and applies acupuncture in between her eyes.

Sooyoung actually had to suffer through acupuncture for her first shoot in order to portray the scene realistically and this is not an especially easy feat for an actress. Word is that she was totally fine with it and was complimented when she did so in good spirits.

Oh Ji Ho said, "If you see her acting, it's going to surprise a lot of people."

In the episode on Thursday, Oh Ji Ho and Sooyoung's first meeting coincided with a female patient who is having a seizure in the emergency room. The two factions of the hospital will have a conflict for who is to treat the patient and when Seung Hyun steps closer to inspect her, the western medicine doctors takes her away once more for Kim Doo Hyun (Kim Seung Woo).
