Girl Group Lovelyz Top Japan's Tower Records Chart One Week After Releasing Debut Album

Rookie girl group Lovelyz has topped Japan's Tower Records chart with their album that they recently released in Korea.

Lovelyz' debut album was produced by Yoon Sang and was released through Woollim Entertainment. This is the agency's first girl group that they have ever released and has gained much attention.

They have not done any promotions and still they were able to top the Tower Records Comprehensive Album Sales Ranking chart on November 22.

Woollim Entertainment stated, "Lovelyz has not officially made their debut in Japan, nor have they confirmed for any Japan promotions and yet they have been receiving many messages from Japanese media congratulating them on their win on the Tower Records chart. The group has not even taken their first step as a rookie group and already they have become a hot issue. This just proves how much potential the group has after they do officially begin promoting."

Lovelyz recently released their title song, "Candy Jelly Love" on November 17 as part of their debut album, Girls' Invasion. Their album received much praise after its release as well.

The group's album was produced by Yoon Sang as well as his producing team, OnePiece and Kim Ina and features a variety of different K-Pop sounds.

On the other hand, Lovelyz has recently successfully completed their first debut performance and will now continue to promote their album.

Lovelyz is an 8 member group created by Woollim Entertainment. They officially debuted on November 17 and is Woolim's first girl group.

The group consists of members Baby Soul, Jiae, Jisoo, Mijoo, Kei, JIN, Sujeong and Yein.

Member Baby Soul first appeared in INFINITE H's song, "Crying" in 2011 and also debuted as a solo female artist that same year.

Other members such as Jiae released a digital single in 2010 and member JIN first appeared in 2013 with a song titled, "Gone."

Mijoo was the female actress for INFINITE's "Last Romeo" music video as well.
