Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett Go Cheek To Cheek for Christmas in New Spot or H&M; What Better Way to Celebrate the Holidays Than With a Commercial?

Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett want everyone to have a swinging Christmas. The duo was tapped by H&M to launches the holiday season with a TV commercial featuring their new number one single, the classic "It Don't Mean A Thing If It Ain't Got That Swing."

"We were inspired by the glitz, glamour, and opulence of the 1940s' Big Band era," The mood is one of festive celebration shot through with a strong sense of fashion and underlying humor. It is intriguing, curious, exuberant, audacious, and filled with wonder," said Johan Renck, director of the commercial. "

What better way to celebrate the holidays then with a commercial, right? Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga  at least give H&M a good song. Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga's "It Don't Mean a Thing (If It Aint Got That Swing)" is from their number one new album, Cheek To Cheek.

The Gaga Bennett commercial will be shown exclusively on HM.com. It celebrates the "holiday spirit of giving and togetherness with an H&M family of supermodels and superstars! There's a glistening mood as the viewer travels through a series of holiday moments finally ending with a large Big Band celebration," according to the announcement.

"The mood is effortlessly chic as Joan Smalls pops out of a gift box onto a dance floor in a sleek white ensemble. Dapper suited men careen ladies in flirty dresses, skirts and sequins as the band ramps up to unveil a stage. A crooning Tony Bennett leads an emerald clad Lady Gaga into their top chart duet "It Don't Mean a Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing),'" the announcement promises.

Bennett, who is 88, is the oldest artist in music industry history to have an album at the top of the Billboard charts, having broken his own record. Cheek To Cheek is also Lady Gaga's third straight Number 1 album in three years.

Cheek To Cheek features classic jazz standards sung by Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett in a combination of vocal duets and solo performances. Both artists will be accompanied by a full orchestra along with each artist's jazz ensembles who will also serve as special guests for the evening.

Cheek to Cheek was recorded in New York City. It took over a year to complete and features jazz musicians associated with both artists including members of Bennett's quartet: Mike Renzi, Gray Sargent, Harold Jones and Marshall Wood as well as pianist Tom Ranier.
