Android 5.0 Lollipop: Sprint Galaxy S5 Download Leak, Release Date & Features Update [NEWS]

A developing version of Android 5.0 Lollipop has been leaked for the Sprint Galaxy S5- an XDA Developers member posted the leak on Wednesday.

Users have since reported a number of bugs and glitches, citing data and interface discrepancies.

"This is a test build for the Sprint S5. This will not be the OTA release and may have issues.

Nevertheless... it is Lollipop," the Sprint Galaxy S5 leak message reads.

"I've tested calls, SMS and other functions and they seem to work. I have not tested all of the sensors and their functions. I'm also releasing this as a full restore only so it will wipe data."

According to the post, users must place their phone in download mode, open Odin, extract a particular file and begin Flash before waiting for it to download.

This month's Nexus Android 5.0 Lollipop release date version experienced infrequency in service: several customers are still awaiting Google's Nexus Android 5.0 Lollipop OTA, GottaBeMobile reports.

"Google's Android update roll outs are notoriously slow. Usually, they take about a week to deploy though as we're finding out, the Android 5.0 Lollipop update is rolling out much slower than that," the website writes in a review of the update.

"Some Nexus 5, Nexus 7, and Nexus 4 users are still waiting for their chance to move from Android 4.4 KitKat to the new operating system. Devices in our possession are still without the OTA upgrades more than a week after the software first started rolling out. It's unusual but Android 5.0 Lollipop is a massive update and Google seems content taking its time."

Developers have not announced specific plans for updates on features and glitches.
