The Samsung Galaxy Core 2 offers a 4.5 inch display with a resolution of 480 x 800 and a 207 ppi pixel density. While the Asus Zenfone 5 has 5 inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 and a 294 ppi.

In terms of hardware and operating system being used, the Zenfone 5 has a 1.5 GHz Intel Atom dual core processor and runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean which is upgradable to Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system.

However, the Core 2 comes equipped with a quad core processing unit that is clocked at 1.2 GHz and runs on Android KitKat v4.4.2 OS.

Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy Core 2 offers 5 mega pixel rear-facing camera and front VGA lens. It has autofocus, face detection, Geo tagging and LED flash.

On the other hand, the Asus Zenfone 5 has 8MP rear shooter with autofocus, LED flash, 1080p video capture and a 2MP front-facing camera.

The Zenfone 5 has a bigger battery capacity of 2110 mAh, while the Core 2 has a 2000 mAh battery.

Meanwhile, the price of Samsung Galaxy Core 2 is about $170 and the Asus Zenfone 5 8 GB dual SIM cost around $169, according to Amazon.com.
