MBC is to air a special documentary analyzing singer Psy's "Gangnam Style" sensation that taken over the world. The documentary that has been in preparation secretly is now to air on September 21 with the title "Psy GO Now is Gangnam style."

The special documentary will cover Psy's global success of his hit single "Gangnam Style" and including a in-depth look at the future of K-Pop moving forward.

Psy has taken over the world with his rising stardom with his title song "Gangnam style" released in July. His music video surpassed 2 million views on YouTube and topped the U.S. iTunes chart as the first Korean artist.

MBC special shared the reason behind "Gangnam Style" popularity as due to elements of including the popular music genre of electro pop with its black humor and catchy rhythm.

Psy will join a handful of top Korean stars that have been covered by MBC documentary including Park Ji Sung, Park Chan Ho, Kim Tae Hee and more.
