Supergirl TV Series To Crossover With The Flash and Arrow? Supergirl, Flash and Arrow On Different Networks But in Same DC TV Universe

Supergirl TV Series: The upcoming Supergirl TV series may be on a different network than The Flash and Arrow, but they may share space in the same DC TV series universe.

Reports are circulating that Supergirl may be part of the crossover between The Flash and Arrow.  Gotham is aired on Fox and Constantine fell on NBC since he lost his wings. Greg Berlanti's upcoming Supergirl TV series is on CBS.

Can these superheroes co-exist in one universe and yet live on different networks? Why not? Since Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D debuted on ABC, superhero universe crossovers have been freed in theaters and on the pages of the comic books. Supergirl placed 94th on IGN's list of the Top 100 Comic Book Heroes of All Time in May 2011.

CW premiered the Flash character, telling the story of the superfast Barry Allen played by Grant Gustin, before The Flash TV series was aired. DC Comics fans will seeFelicity Smoak and Oliver Queen make guest appearances on The Arrow and The Flash crossover plot which premieres next week.

Entertainment Weekly features a profile of Greg Berlanti in their December Issue and reported that Berlanti said Supergirl could possibly "enter the worlds of Arrow and The Flash."

Supergirl already shares Colleen Atwood, the costume designer for Arrow and The Flash.

DC Comics created Supergirl to be a female counterpart to Superman. She was created by writer Otto Binder and designed by artist Al Plastino in 1959. Supergirl first appeared in the Action Comics comic book series and later branched out into animation, film, television, and merchandising.
