'Sailor Moon' Live Action Movie To Star Megan Fox As Usagi Tsukino? 'Transformers' Star Wants The Role

Former "Transformers" star Megan Fox has expressed her desire to star in a Japanese anime live-action movie, Sailor Moon 2014 remake.

"That could feasibly be made into a live action movie," Fox admitted. "I don't know how many Americans were into that. I was into that, but I don't know how huge it was here."

"That's not actually a bad idea."

Although, there's still no confirmation about the project, there is an actual possibility for "Sailor Moon" to have its very own live-action movie adaptation with all of the reboots and remakes trend, especially now that a new series has aired.

A "Sailor Moon" remake is finally here! After 17 long years of waiting, the fans of the popular anime teenage heroine in a series titled Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon: Crystal which, aired its premiere episode on July 5, 2014.

Two years ago during the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the highly-popular anime series, creator Naoko Takeuchi revealed the plans for a "Sailor Moon" remake; However, it was initially announced that the anime series will be released on December 2013 but, then moved to summer this year.

It has also been reported that "Sailor Moon" anime will not be a remake, but rather a more direct adaptation of the manga.

The new series is available on a Japanese streaming video service, NicoNico, formerly known as Nico Nico Doug, most likely available with subtitles in 10 languages including English. (Worldwide Moonies Rejoice!!!)

Toonami has been reportedly interested into airing the program in the U.S.

Kotono Mitsuishi, 46, the original voice of Usagi Tsukino aka Sailor Moon, will be back to lend her voice to the pretty heroine. We wonder how would "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" star Megan Fox would look like if she would to star in the movie adaptaion?

Mitsuishi will be joined by new voice talents Hisaki Kanemoto as Ami Mizuno (Sailor Mercury), Ami Koshimizu as Makoto Kino (Sailor Jupiter), Rina Satou as Rei Hino (Sailor Mars), and Shizuka Itou as Minako Aino (Sailor Venus).

Munehisa Sakai (One Piece) will be directing the series penned by Yuuji Kobayashi (Saint Seiya Omega). Yukie Sako (Majestic Prince) is tapped for the character design in collaboration with Yumi Hosoka an Takshi Kurahashi (Mononoke and Gatchman Crowds) as art directors. Yasuharu Takanashi (Naruto Shippuuden) will compose the soundtrack as King Records will produce.
