Andy Murray and his girlfriend Kim Sears are finally getting married after nine years of dating.

According to the tennis star's management Andy Murray, 27, proposed to his long-time girlfriend Kim Sears.

Andy Murray and girlfriend Kim Sears have not made any comments, but BBC News reported on Wednesday, November 26, that Sears' agent may have spilled that Murray proposed last Wednesday.

The Scottish athlete joked about marriage plans during a Wimbledon Q&A session earlier this year. Andy Murray then took to Twitter to shoot down wedding rumors.

"3 things.. I don't smoke grass, I'm not getting married(yet) and I don't want to kill rafael Nadal.." Murray Tweeted on January 14.

Sears and Murray have dating for about nine years. According to BBC News, who knows about these things, the pair met at the U.S. Open in 2005.

Since then Sears has attended many of her boyfriend's matches. Kim Sears can be seen at all Andy Murray matches cheering him on from the stands. They were photographed kissing at Wimbledon in 2013 after Murray beat Novak Djokovic in the Men's Singles Final.

Kim Sears is the daughter of Law Tennis Association for Women head Nigel Sears.

Sears watched Murray compete for the first time in San Jose, California in 2006 when he beat world champions Andy Roddick and Lleyton Hewitt.

According to The Telegraph, Murray said, "It's the first time Kim has come to a tournament. That made me quite relaxed. I'll have to take her to some more tournaments"

E! reported that Andy also brought Kim to formal events. In 2013, Sears accompanied Murray when he was bestowed the title of Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) by Prince William at the Buckingham Palace.
