Golden Disk Awards Announce Nominations & Location For January Ceremony

With the excitement fading from the December 3 Mnet Asian Music Awards, fans are turning their attention towards the next major awards show, the Golden Disk Awards, and the talented K-Pop stars up for major awards.

The 29th Annual Golden Disk Awards are scheduled to take place in Beijing as China continues to prove an important market for Korean pop music.

The Golden Disk Awards is a music festival and awards ceremony that recognizes K-Pop stars and their remarkable achievements to the Korean music industry each year.

Because of K-Pop's wide reaching influence all over Asia, in recent years, it has been help in various countries. Seoul, South Korea has played host three times, 2009, 2010, and 2014.

The GDA were held in Osaka, Japan (2012) and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (2013) with 2015 being the first year the Awards will be presented in Beijing, China.

For two nights, January 14 and 15, the festivities will rock Beijing's MasterCard Center.

To get fans ready for next month's ceremony, nominee lists for Album, Digital Single, and Best New Artist have been revealed.
