K-Pop Crossover: Miss A's Min Covers Beyonce's 'Partition' And 'Yonce' With Original Choreography

Not many would dare compare herself to Beyonce, but Miss A's powerhouse dancer Min is up to the challenge.

On Thursday, Min uploaded a video of herself performing a dance cover of Beyonce's popular single, "Partition." Exuding charisma inspired by the Queen Bey's polarizing music video, the clip showcases original choreography by the K-pop idol.

"Choreographing and shooting to my favorite artist Beyonce's hot single 'Partition,'" wrote Min on her personal YouTube page. "Part of a video series that I will be releasing as a creative outlet for myself and fans!"

Much like Beyonce's original video, reactions to Min's rendition have been mixed.

"Although I'm always here for sexy girl group members, I really wish this video had less withering around on the couch and more choreography just because I know what an amazing dancer she is," commented kyootnshort on YouTube.

"I was going to post about how I don't like how provocative the dance is, but then I remember I saw a shirtless Taeyang and Jimin yesterday," wrote rongderp. "So keep doing your thing Min. Screw the hypocrisy."

In addition, Min also released her cover of Beyonce's "Yonce," this time with choreography by Kyle Hanagami. According to allkpop, Hyungyu and Blazer Pyo were the backup dancers for Min's covers.

On November 24, Beyonce released the music video for the track "Haunted" off of her self-titled album. Like "Partition," the provocative visuals and costumes induced strong reactions from observers.

"Part of my challenge is to take her places that she hasn't been, to take her out of her comfort zone," said director Jonas Akerlund regarding "Haunted."

"She is very young, she's beautiful, she's filled with creativity. I think she has only just begun."
