CNBLUE Reportedly To Be The Only Korean Act Attending China’s Iqiyi Night On Dec. 6

Group CNBLUE will be attending China’s ‘2015 Iqiyi’s Night’ on December 6.

According to Iqiyi’s official Weibo account, they announced on December 4 that Chinese idol group TFBoys, along with Korean-Chinese idol group UNIQ and band CNBLUE would be attending the event.

Other famous Asian stars including Angela Baby and more have also been reported to attend this event as well. CNBLUE is the only Korean artist to be invited to the ceremony.

Iqiyi is a video service company that was created by China’s biggest portal site, Baidu.

This year marks the first year for Iqiyi to hold an award ceremony with their own name.

This award ceremony is dedicated to China, Hong Kong and Asia’s famous talents in the fields of movie, drama, music and TV.

On the other hand, CNBLUE has won the ‘Best Band Performance’ award at the 2014 MAMA for their 5th mini album, Can’t Stop.

CNBLUE is a band that formed in 2009 in Japan and later debuted in Korea in 2010 with their single, I'm A Loner.

Earlier this year, they released their 5th EP, Can't Stop, and topped Japan's Tower Records Pre-Order Chart.

This EP continued to do well on charts and on music show programs and was a huge success for the band.

In August, the group also released their 8th single, Go Your Way, in Japan.

Jung Yong Hwa also filmed for the drama, "The Three Muskateers" which aired back in the summer.

Most recently, CNBLUE performed at the finale stage at the 2014 Incheon Asian Games along with other top stars including SISTAR, Big Bang and others.
