Kingdom Hearts 3 To Feature Marvel And Star Wars Characters Following Kingdom Hearts 2! Will Square Enix Add The Heroes And Villains In Both Franchises?

Kingdom Hearts 3 is definitely a long-awaited sequel. The Kingdom Hearts 2 did Pirates of the Caribbean and Johnny Depp and they released games called 358/2 Days, Birth By Sheep and Dream Drop Distance so we know the series is insane!

It didn't quiet come as a surprise. when Tai Yasue, co-director and game designer on Kingdom Hearts III revealed in an interview in London that Marvel and Star Wars character and world were being given due consideration for inclusion in the long-awaited video game sequel.

Yasue initially spoke generally about the breadth of material offered by the Disney license and when asked particularly about including Marvel and Star Wars properties, Yasue confirmed that they were within the ground of probability.

"Well, yeah. They're all under consideration," Yasue said. "Nothing's off-limits; we're considering all of the worlds. There are so many wonderful concepts. We're happy about that, but at the same time it's really tough to choose."

After multiple remakes and remaster kept the franchise alive since its last proper release, some fans may be surprised to know it will be over a decade by the time the game comes out.

According to Kotaku UK, c-director and game designer Tai Yasue told them those purchases, especially the Marvel Comics and Star Wars properties, aren't considered "off-limits" to them in what they could build Kingdom Hearts 3 from.

"I can't go into specifics, but there's a LOT of new Disney stuff and we have our plates full," said Yasue. "Theres a lot to consider - we're looking at all of Disney, the new ones as well, they have a lot of pull and draw. They're all under consideration. Nothing's off-limits; we're considering all of the worlds. There are so many wonderful concepts. We're happy about that, but at the same time it's really tough to choose."

In Kingdom Hearts, a series of crossover action role-playing games developed and published by Square Enix and created by Tetsuya Nomura, player takes control of a young protagonist, usually Sora and travels through multiverse comprising of worlds from Disney properties as well as the Final Fantasy videogame franchise. The player employs an unique weapon called Keyblade against dark creatures called Heartless.

Many considered the idea to bring together entirely unrelated properties as Disney and Final Fantasy was asking for disaster, however, the game proved to be a breakout hit, leading to its sequel, Kingdom Hearts 2 in 2005 after the first game series was released in 2002. The series has witnessed numerous spinoffs and remakes since then but only at E3 2013, the much awaited third main game, Kingdom Hearts 3 was confirmed to be in development with new footage shown after a year, at E3 2014.

Well, we will have to wait and see how many of the megacorporation's acquisitions will appear in Kingdom Hearts 3 considering Disney corporate has expanded since Kingdom Hearts 2 was released.
