SHINee’s Onew Reveals How He Joined SM Entertainment

SHINee's leader Onew shared how he was able to debut as a singer.

MBC's "Radio Star" episode on Wednesday featured Onew who explained, "There are showcases hold each time a company releases a rookie. I attended the showcase of Girls' Generation and was spotted by Lee Soo Man."

He added, "I was asked to do a recording and was signed on the next day. At that time I sang Gummy and Wheesung's "Do It." After hearing this story the MCs asked Onew to sing the song on the spot and he delivered a passionate performance.

Actress Kim Jung Nan commented, "He has such a nice voice," unable to hide her affection for Onew.
