Maria Sharapova and Grigor Dimitrov have firmly put split rumors behind them as they prepare for Brisbane International 2015 this coming January. It looks like the tennis couple is doing better than ever. The fact that Maria Sharapova and Grigor Dimitrov have such fond memories of Brisbane makes the start of 2015 even more special!

When asked by Fox Sports what she thought of all the rumors circulating her and Bulgarian tennis player, she said, “It’s a part of my life I like to keep to myself. It’s important to keep a part of you private and personal because so much of a professional athlete’s life is in the public eye.

“I have a him as a person and it’s nice to share each other’s company every day and forget about what we do, have other interests.

“If you are happy and that person brings you happiness, you have to cherish it as much as you can.’’

Sounds like Maria and Grigor have put split rumors behind them for 2015!

Last year, the tennis royalty celebrated the new year by “watching the New Year’s Eve fireworks over the Brisbane River,” according to Fox Sports. Knowing that Grigor is a firm romantic, this sounds like a tradition that they can repeat.

“I love the easy atmosphere of Brisbane,’’ Maria Sharapova commented. “It’s summertime in Australia and everyone’s on a summer break and in a great mood and you see the summer dresses. I love that part about it. It’s very free-spirited. You can go to cafes, try to find something by the water, go to the zoo, so there’s a little bit of everything.”
