Taylor Swift's '1989' A Record-Breaker? New Songs Heading For Fifth Non-Consecutive Week At Number-One Billboard Spot [NEWS]

Taylor Swift's "1989" album is heading for a fifth non-consecutive week as Billboard's number-one track on the 200 chart, opening the possibility of breaking records in the future.

Attention surrounded the singer after she was rumored to have exchanged phone numbers with 1975 band leader Matt Healy during a recent concert. It sparked rumors on social media that the two are working on collaborating on a track together.

Taylor Swift and her ex-boyfriend Harry Styles are allegedly hanging out again, with some saying the One Direction singer became interested in her again following the success of her "1989" album and new songs.

"Taylor has been bragging to her trainer and celeb friends that she and Harry are talking again," a source revealed to Hollywood Life.

Her management team has responded to her current back-and-forth with Spotify over music publishing.

"Our users, both free and paid, have grown by more than 50 percent in the last year, which means that the run rate for artists of every level of popularity keeps climbing. And Taylor just put out a great record, so her popularity has grown too," said Spotify's global head of communication Jonathan Price said, according to MTV.

"We paid Taylor's label and publisher roughly half a million dollars in the month before she took her catalog down-without even having 1989 on our service-and that was only going to go up."

Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley teased Taylor Swift about her transition to pop music at the Country Music Awards on Wednesday.

"We're sad because it looks like New York's gain is Nashville's loss. Just going to have to shake it off," the duo sang.
