Bon Jovi Sheds Light On Richie Sambora's Exit With The Band - 'He's Gone'; Will A Reunion Still Be Possible?

A year after Bon Jovi consequently lost a guitarist in the band after Richie Sambora reportedly quit the band, a reunion talks continue to rise for the two musicians as the band is about to go back on the road for a tour.

The two, however, reportedly reconciled after the trend of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge emerged. In a video shown below, it was believed to be the first time the two somehow communicated since 2013.

Richie Sambora left the band last year after years of touring with the band. He claimed that it was a difficult decision for him to leave after a reported rift between him and Jon Bon Jovi caused the decision.

"The Bon Jovi machine had to go on. I could choose - join or leave. That's hard when you share joys and sorrows for 30 years."

"There's no bad blood with me any more. I love Jon, and I still see the possibility of a return," Sambora told Life magazine. "There are just a few steps I want to - need to - take."

The guitarist claimed that he wanted to grow in his own way musically and take a needed break after decades of touring with the band.

"I wanted to make my own music and I preferred doing a few shows with my own band. I said I wanted a break," Sambora says.

"It's hurt me that more and more untrue things have come out in the media. I just wanted calmer waters, and just do something for myself," he says. "We had just finished with another tour... (and) I saw a year of other priorities for me."

Speculations meanwhile arise that the two would be back working together after a secret communication has been happening. Fans are waiting for it to happen when the band returns from a short break after the holidays.
