Although there has been quite a hallyu recession in Japan, JYJ continues to be popular in Japan.

Their album, Just Us, which released in Korea in July, was never officially released in Japan and still it topped the Oricon and Tower Records charts and revealed their overwhelming popularity.

Their Osaka concert brought in over 100,000 fans and many media and news are anticipating another successful concert in Osaka as well.

Their most recent full-length album, Just Us, was mostly written by the group them and the album went on to top many music charts including Mnet, Melon, Naver, Olleh and more with their title song, “Back Seat.”

JYJ was formed in 2010 and are the former members of group TVXQ. They are also known to be the first K-Pop group to perform in Peru and Chile.

Their global debut album, studio album and Korean full-length album all topped the Gaon Album charts as well.

They were also chosen as the ambassadors for the 2014 Asian Games. They were also the only K-Pop group to be invited to the Presidential inauguration ceremony in 2013 as well.

They are also known to donate to many different charities to help those in need.

Earlier this year in February, they also resolved the battle they had with Japan’s AVEX company.
