October 1 is a history day for rapper Psy.

'World star' Psy wrote on his twitter, "October 1-Ranked number 1 on the UK chart-Armed Forces Day-The twins birthday. Today is a historic day."

Today, Psy ranked number 1 on the UK chart, making him the first Korean artist to appear on this chart.

It is hard for a foreign artist to even be seen on this UK chart and Psy had broken that record.

His twin daughters were also born on October 1 as well.

He appeared on SBS "Healing Camp" back in August and had revealed how special October 1 was to him.

Psy commented on the show, "As most people know, I went to the army twice." 

Internet users commented, "His daughters must be his lucky charm" and "Congrats to Psy!"

Psy has recently become a global sensation with his song, "Gangnam Style." He has ranked number 1 on iTunes in 30 countries and has ranked number 2 on the U.S. Billboard Main Single Chart 'HOT 100'. 

He has appeared on many shows such as the "Ellen Show" and "SNL" and featured on news programs such as NBC and CNN.

His music video has been the most viewed on Youtube as well with 300 million views.

He has also recently signed a contract with Justin Bieber's agency and plans to release his first U.S. single sometime in November.
