Amanda Knox Murder Case [Update]: Organization Seeks To Exonerate 'Foxy Knoxy;' Supporters Write Petition To Investigate Trial Violations

Supporters want to exonerate Amanda Knox from the murder case as they gather signatures in a petition to investigate alleged violations of "Foxy Knoxy's" right, and that of ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, to a fair trial.

According to Nigel Scott of Ground Report, the petition was initiated by the members of the organization, Injustice in Perugia.

Karen Pruett, a group organizer based in Seattle, told the website that the evidence has always pointed to Rudy Guede as the sole killer of Meredith Kercher.

"Her bedroom, the murder scene, contained two undisputed DNA profiles-Meredith Kercher and Rudy Guede. His profile in her room was a surprise to Miss Kercher's family, roommates and friends. He is not a 'date,' he is a cold blooded killer who should be serving life," she said.

She said that they have watched for years while Italian authorities tried to fit the evidence they presented in Amanda Knox's murder case to pin down the student and then boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito.

"We feel that outside intervention is needed. We are respectfully asking the governments of Italy, Great Britain and the United States to launch investigations into the mishandling of the Meredith Kercher murder inquiry and the subsequent framing of two innocent people," she said.

The petition, which can be found at Change.org, is addressed to the Ministero della Giustizia of Italy, UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office, and the US Department of State.

The group wants to independent investigators to look into the "allegations from Members of Parliament that the prosecution's evidence against Raffaele Sollecito and Amanda Knox is 'contradictory and unreliable' which resulted in 'unfair treatment of the defendants.'"

The letter addressed to the Ministero della Giustizia in connection with the Amanda Knox murder case reads: "Please investigate the activities of local law enforcement authorities and consular staff in the aftermath of the death of Meredith Kercher in Perugia, Italy on November 1, 2007. There were multiple violations of national and international laws."
