K-Pop Crossover: Girls' Generation's Jessica Cites Spice Girls' Victoria Beckham As Role Model

As Jessica Jung begins a new career outside of Girls' Generation, it's perhaps no coincidence that the woman she looks up to is Victoria Beckham.

On Monday, the 25-year-old singer attended the "2014 Yahoo Asia Buzz Awards," where she accepted an award for being the most searched female artist. At the event, Jung revealed her future plans after Girls' Generation.

"I want to try out a variety of fields," she said according to allkpop. "Personally, singing. I like singing, and I think I would have fun acting too. If I do get to try them out, I want to do it while keeping a balance."

She later cited former Spice Girls member Victoria Beckham as her role model, saying, "She always perfects the roles she's given. It's impressive."

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Beckham will be partnering with Nails Inc. to release a limited-edition nail polish which will be available online on Monday, and in stores February 2015.

Meanwhile, Jung launched her very first limited-edition scarf collection with her fashion brand BLANC & ECLARE on Monday.

"I love the holiday season because not only do we experience a love affair with the new season's winter must-haves but we also enjoy a fashion fix from sharing a touch of style as gifts to those nearest and dearest to us," she said according to allkpop. "Whether it's a well-deserved indulgence for you or a sentimental gift for loved ones this holiday, our new Limited Edition BLANC & ECLARE Scarves will become a coveted piece to cherish for years to come."

According to a statement released through BLANC & ECLARE, the singer was forced out of Girls' Generation in October by the other members as well as SM Entertainment due to the launch of her fashion business venture.
