"Gangnam Style" Psy Stays at Number 2 on Billboard, Maroon 5 Keeps First Place

Maroon 5 has won their first place spot on Billboards for this week.

"Gangnam Style" Psy unfortunately did not beat Maroon 5 this week for the number 1 spot on the U.S. Bllboard Main Single Chart 'HOT 100'.

It was announced today on the billboard website that Psy had ranked at number 2 again for this week.

On September 30, Psy ranked number 1 on the UK chart, being the first Korean artist to rank this high

Billboard stated, "I guess Psy will have to keep his shirt on for one more week."

"Gangnam Style" was not able to beat Maroon 5 this week due to the smaller number of times his song was played on the radio.

Although "Gangnam Style" had more digital sales, they lacked in the number of streaming and radio counts.

Psy had stated a day earlier on October 2 that his biggest honor was his fans and not the Billboard rankings.

Psy had also stated earlier at his press conference that if by chance he did make it to number 1 that he would take of his top and perform on stage.

Psy has recently become a global sensation with his song, "Gangnam Style." He has ranked number 1 on iTunes in 30 countries and has ranked number 2 on the U.S. Billboard Main Single Chart 'HOT 100'.

He has appeared on many shows such as the "Ellen Show" and "SNL" and featured on news programs such as NBC and CNN.

His music video has been the most viewed on Youtube as well with over 350 million views.

He has also recently signed a contract with Justin Bieber's agency and plans to release his first U.S. single sometime in November.
