'Avatar 2' Plot Details Revealed! 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Star Zoe Saldana & James Cameron Talked About The Upcoming Sequels

James Cameron has been extremely secretive when it comes to "Avatar" 2, 3 and 4 plot. He merely talks about his upcoming scifi movies, which makes fans more excited to hear anything about the film.

Even returning cast member "Guardians of the Galaxy" star Zoe Saldana claims that she doesn't know anything about the film, when she had a talk with The Hollywood Reporter.

"I wish I knew! I've been told by Jim [Cameron] that it'll be about an overall spiritual journey, but I don't have a script."

She however, compared her roles in "GOTG" and "Avatar" where both required her to change the color of her skin, blue for "Avatar" and green for "Guardians of the Galaxy."

"This time it was actual makeup (referring to "GOTG). Avatar was motion-capture, so everything was done in post. But Guardians was the way it's normally done. You get picked up at 3:30 in the morning and spend 4½ hours getting things glued and spray-painted on to your face."

When ask which movie she liked better she simply said:

"Avatar. Working in the volume, doing performance-capture. Because you don't have to worry about what you're going to look like. That gets added later. You just play the character."

Director James Cameron on the other hand, is serious about making "Avatar 2" and the other two sequels' plot mind-blowing. He's making sure that everything is going as planned in order to exceed the fans' expectations.

"The first film... took almost four years to make. We expect to be able to accelerate the process quite a bit, because we've improved a lot of the software and the computer graphics tools, and we've been working very closely with Weta Digital down here in New Zealand developing a whole new suite of tools to speed up the process."

James Cameron also revealed that the team is simultaneously working on the plot of the next three sequels of "Avatar."

"The second, third, and fourth films all go into production simultaneously," he wrote on a Reddit Ask Me Anything session. "They're essentially all in pre-production now because we are designing creatures, settings, and characters that span all three films. And we should be finished with all three scripts within the next, I would say, six weeks."

More excitingly Cameron revealed some juicy "Avatar 2" plot details.

"We're still in the early stages. Right now we're developing the software. I'm writing the scripts. We're designing all the creatures and characters and the settings, and so on. So, I'm not actually directing yet, but I'm doing all the other creative processes that lead up to that. It's going very well. I think it's going to be spectacular. You'll see new worlds, new habitats, new cultures. The primary conflict between the human view kind of dominating nature and the Na'vi view of being integrated into nature is the same, but it manifests itself in very different ways," he said in an RTL interview.
