iPad Air 3 Getting A Speedy A9 Or A9X Processor? Release Date Potentially Set For October Or Early November Next Year?

The iPad Air 2 was just released October of this year but rumors about its possible successor are already circulating online.

According to the latest reports, the iPad Air 3 release date is already pegged for October 2015, based on Apple's launch history for the previous iOS slates. Record shows that the iPad Air 1 was unveiled on October 22, 2013 and it hit the shelves in the beginning of November of the same year.

With this, it is likely that the iPad Air 3 will be released in the market on late October 2015 or perhaps, early November.

Although the iPad Air 2 successor is already being dubbed by tech experts as iPad Air 3, Apple might also call its upcoming slate the iPad 7 or the New iPad.

As for the specs, the iPad Air 3 is likely to get an upgraded processor. The iPad Air 2 is equipped with an A8X chipset, which as described on Macworld, "has three billion transistors and offers (Apple says) 40 percent faster performance than the iPad Air 1's A7 chip in most apps and up to 2.5x graphics performance."

And since new devices are expected to come with better specs, it is only right to assume that the iPad Air 3 will get a more advanced processor than its predecessor. It's highly likely that the iPad Air 3 will be boasting of very fast processor, either an A9 or an A9X chipset.

Morever, MacWorld's compilation report about iPad Air 3 release date and specs noted that the purported tablet may also get a resolution boost suggesting that it may feature a pixel density approaching that of the iPhone 6 Plus, which is 401ppi. This will be a huge leap considering that the iPad Air 2, with a screen resolution of 1536 x 2048 p, has, more or less, a density of 264 pixels per inch.

These iPad Air 3 release date and specs information will remain to be rumor unless Apple officially makes a statement about it. Make sure to check back on this site for updates about the rumored iOS slate.
