Nell Returns With Emotional 'Green Nocturne' Ahead Of Chirstmas Concert

Korean pop band Nell has released the music video for their comeback winter song "Nocturne Green."

In the music video, a man makes his way from a barren forest to the bustling city in quiet meditation. The camera never shows all of his facial features and each scene is framed in a distant and obscure manner. The cinematographic style gives the seemingly endless journey a mysterious and unsettling atmosphere.

The video ends with the walker making his way onto the roof of a building and looking at the traffic below. The viewer is left wondering whether he will jump or has finally come to a divine realization and no longer needs to walk aimlessly.

According to Woollim Entertainment, the song is about personally reflecting on your past. The music video portrays the act of remembering a time when you were foolishly brave, insecure and naive. Nell has a unique take on the experience by not glorifying the past, but rather concentrating on the serene and calming nature of reflection, represented by the acoustic guitar.

Fans of Nell are impressed by the new music video's subtlety and relaxing nature. The top rated comment under the video, by Martina Karaula, states, "...The sound and melody are beautiful and I love the calming, peaceful tone. It's definitely perfect for chilly winter nights. I love the simplicity of the MV because it lets the music take all the spotlight and it's beautiful..."

Nell is currently preparing for their annual Christmas concert called Christmas in Nell's Room. The concert will be held on December 24. Till then, check out the emotional music video for "Green Nocturne" below!
