Big Bang member G-Dragon’s tweet has been the most retweeted tweet in Korea this year.

He was awarded first place for the ‘Golden Tweet’ for this year from Twitter Korea.

On April 17, he tweeted, “PRAYFORSOUTHKOREA” to pay respect to the Sewol ferry tragedy. Currently, this message has received 52,880 retweets and 28,403 favorites.

Other K-Pop stars including Super Junior’s Siwon, 2PM’s Nichkhun and others were also seen on the top 20 most retweeted tweets as well.

For the most followers on Twitter, Super Junior Siwon took the number 1 spot. Following him was Donghae, Psy, G-Dragon and more.

Twitter Korea also revealed through their blog that many of the fans that retweeted this message were from all over the world including Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, U.K., U.S., Russia, Brazil, Australia and more.

As of December 16, G-Dragon has a total of 3.61 million followers and is also ranked first for gaining the most followers this year as well.

At number 2 on this list is 2NE1’s Dara.

On the other hand, on December 16, G-Dragon and CL’s feature on Skrillex’s “Dirty Vibe” music video will be released. The duo’s shocking visuals and powerful rap skills have received much attention from fans all over the globe.
