Daft Punk Cancels Tour For 2014; Are They Returning To The Studio To Record A New Album?

After gaining a huge success with "Get Lucky" and their well known 2014 album "Random Access Memories," fans claim that this is definitely a soundtrack of 2014. It just happened that the group weren't able to go on tour this year to follow up with their record that swept the entire world last Summer.

A 2014 tour was what the fans were waiting for but didn't happen due to problem with location, where the duo planned on scouting a South Dakota territory to plot their series of shows. It was however turned down after tribes in the selected venues turned down their request for cultural matters.

A Devils Tower National Monument was the selected venue and was turned down by Reed Robinson, who was the superintendent of the place.

"This being a night skies park and a natural park and a sacred site to 24 different tribes, that would be considered sacrilegious and gets into that 'inappropriate use'," Robinson said. "And that meant maybe we would have to close portions of the main trail to facilitate this kind of stuff."

The duo, however, plans to do at least one show anytime next year.

Daft Punk, meanwhile, has been reported to be back in the studio working on another record but is not expected to release anything, anytime soon.

They would release the Alive 2007 Live Set on double vinyl. This record was released on CD and digital download previously, which won two Grammy Awards on 2009, including Best Electronic Album and Best Electronic Single, asreported by Glide Magazine.

Daft Punk won awards during this year's Grammys including Best Dance/Electronica Album, Best Engineered Album (Non-Classical), Record of the Year and the duo and Pharell got the award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for the hit song Get Lucky.
