Russell Brand Doesn’t Remember Katy Perry, But ‘Get Him To The Greek’ Star Remembers He Liked Being Married

Russell Brand says Katy Perry who? Just a few days after the "Get Him to the Greek" star Russell Brand admitted "I don't know who that is" when asked about ex-wife Katy Perry, the comedian and actor revealed he has good memories of his failed 14-month marriage to the Dark Horse singer.

During an appearance on The Wendy Williams Show, Russel Band admitted "I would like to get married [again]. I was married before and I really liked it."

Brand and Katy Perry got married in a traditional Hindi ceremony in India surrounded by friends and family back in October 2010. The couple split less than two years later. Perry and Brand have both talked about their breakup publicly, Perry told Marie Claire magazine that the English comedian wanted her to have children, Brand said they split up over "incompatibility."

Asked about Perry's comments Brand told Wendy Williams "It didn't have to be ours, I said we can just get one [a baby] anywhere. One that's just loose in the wild. A free-range one from a farm."

Brand confirmed that he is currently single, telling Williams, "Yes I am as a matter of fact." But he is not sure if he would date another celebrity.

"I don't know, I don't know ... I think you just have to meet people and try and judge them...We're all captivated and fascinated by celebrities...but then you chat with them and you have to judge them on their own individual merit," Brand said.

The Get Him To Greek star famously went to rehab for sex addiction and has been very open about his drug use and drinking, but never before mentioned that his memory might have been affected.

Brand has been eschewing much of the mainstream media for political off social commentary lately, but he did sit down on "Live with Kelly and Michael" to explain Thanksgiving to a bunch of kids.

The "Arthur" star asked the children who they might want to see nibbling giblets with them on the holiday when one threw out an invitation to Russell Brand's ex-wife, Katy Perry.

"Katy Perry?" he asked. "I don't know who that is!"

Brand closed the program by saying "Thanks to these Americans, I, Russell Brand, an Englishman, and a hurtful mention of my ex-wife, I, Russell Brand have a much better understanding of Thanksgiving, the tradition."

Brand and Perry met at the 2009 MTV Awards. They got married a year later in India in a private Hindu ceremony on October 23, 2010. Russell Brand's high-profile celebrity marriage to the megapopstar Katy Perry ended in 2011 after just 14 months. Their divorce was finalized in July 2012.
