As "Arrow" season 3 goes on its Winter finale, spoilers regarding the return of some familiar characters have surfaced.

Recently, it's been confirmed that "Arrow" season 3 episode 13 is called "Canaries," which will signal the return of Calty Lotz as Sara aka Canary.

"It's an episode where a lot of things that we've been doing and setting up during the season really sort of come together," said executive producer Marc Guggenheim according to TVLine.

"It's not a 'climactic' kind of episode, but there's a feeling of a big payoff by the end of it."

According to spoilers, the episode will also see the return of Peter Stormare as the villain Vertigo, and fans have some theories as to how the two returning characters are connected in this "Arrow" season 3 episode.

"I assume Sara will haunt Laurel in some way considering who else is back," commented Tamara on TVLine.

"Laurel will probably see Sara as an effect of Vertigo," theorized Riana.

Sadly, one character who might be no returning anytime soon on "Arrow" season 3 is Deadshot.

In addition, E! Online reports that "Arrow" season 3 may spend several episodes without Oliver after the midseason finale.

Many fans believe that the titular character will return through the use of the Lazarus Pit.

In DC Comics, Ra's al Ghul is forever linked to the Lazarus Pit, a pool of mystically-infused water that acts as the fountain of youth. The pit can also be used to heal those on the verge of death.
